USB supports the national strike called for February 16 by doctors and nurses

and their demands for the strengthening of the public health system with massive
hiring of workers, conversion of all contracts for full-time, permanent workers, creation of new Intensive Care Units,

further increase in government funding for the public health system and
personal protective equipment for all, so that there are no more victims in the face of the third wave of the pandemic.
The health emergency generated by the Covid-19 pandemic has only aggravated the already ongoing employment crisis,

providing the opportunity for yet another crackdown on neoliberal policies in Greece, as in all EU countries.
