The TUI PS - Europe of the WFTU stands by the side of the affected people by the major floods that hit the Emilia Romana region and expresses its condolences to the families of the victims.

It is infuriating that many people could have been saved and could have also saved their property if all the necessary flood and earthquake protection measures had been taken by the Italian governments. Unfortunately, however, it has been demonstrated once again that in this system of exploitation and profit, people's lives are less valuable than the profits of the few.

The TUI PS - Europe of the WFTU expresses its solidarity with the USB, the Workers and the People of Italy in their struggle for measures to protect their lives and rights and calls upon the trade unions of the public sector of Europe to express their condolences and solidarity.
