La Federazione Sindacale Mondiale esprime il suo shock dopo l'incendio industria tessile "Fashions Tazreen" nella periferia di Dhaka, Bangladesh, che ha causato la vita di 119 lavoratrici e manda un forte messaggio di solidarietà con le operaie nelle industrie tessili del paese.

Noi condanniamo le condizioni di lavoro dei lavoratori del settore tessile in Bangladesh, dove le regole di salute e sicurezza non vengono rispettate; questa tragedia è senza dubbio un crimine commesso dai padroni nella loro caccia ai profitti capitalistici. Secondo i rapporti ufficiali, la maggior parte delle vittime sono rimaste intrappolate nei piani superiori dell'edificio e nel piano interrato in quanto non c'era via d'uscita.

Questa non è la prima volta che questo accade, come l’ FSM ha già detto prima, questo è un crimine permanente dei capitalisti contro i lavoratori in Bangladesh.
Per capire meglio i profitti capitalistici e gli interessi nascosti dietro questo nuovo crimine a spese della classe operaia ricordiamo alcuni dati: il Bangladesh ha circa 4.000 fabbriche tessili e gli industriali del paese stanno guadagnando circa 20 miliardi di dollari dall'esportazione di prodotti tessili per lo più negli Stati Uniti e in Europa per multinazionali come Wal-Mart, JC Penney, H & M, Marks & Spencer, Carrefour e Tesco.

Esprimiamo la nostra solidarietà e il sostegno alle famiglie dei lavoratori morti ed assicuriamo che WFTU intensificherà le sue lotte nel paese per l'eliminazione dello sfruttamento dell’uomo sull’ uomo.

La FSM, come ha già fatto più volte in passato, torna a chiedere l'applicazione immediata delle norme di salute e sicurezza nel settore tessile nel paese e in tutti i settori della produzione e invita i sindacati del paese ad aumentare il proprio impegno di lotta per ottenerle.

WFTU expresses Solidarity with the Textile Workers of Bangladesh

The World Federation of Trade Unions expresses its shock after the fire in textile industry “Tazreen Fashions” in the suburbs of Dhaka, Bangladesh that caused the lives of 119 workers and sends a strong message of solidarity with the works in the textile industries of the country.

We condemn the working conditions of textile industry workers in Bangladesh where no health and safety rules are respected; this tragedy is undoubtedly one more employer’s crime in their hunting of capitalist profits. According to the reports, most of the victims were trapped in the upper floors of the building and the basement since there was no way out.

This is not the first time that this happen; as WFTU stated before, this is a permanent crime of capitalists against the workers in Bangladesh.

To better understand the capitalist profits and the interests hidden behind this new crime at the expense of working class we are recalling some data : Bangladesh has about 4.000 textile factories and the industrialists of the country are gaining about 20 billion dollars from the export of textile products mostly to the USA and Europe for multinationals like Wal-Mart, JC Penney, H&M, Marks & Spencer, Carrefour and Tesco.

We express our sympathy and support to the families of dead workers and we assure them that WFTU will intensify its struggles in the country for the elimination of exploitation of men by men.

The WFTU as it has already done several times in the past, demands the immediate application of health and safety standards in textile industry in the country and in all sectors of production and calls upon the trade unions of the country to escalate their struggles for the satisfaction of these demands.
