THE NATIONAL FEDERATION OF WORKERS 'TRADE UNIONS IN PUBLIC AND SOCIAL FUNCTIONS of Portugal supports and sympathizes with the struggle led by USB Italia in defense of the right to strike.

This prohibition is being imposed by the Italian Government and is a negative precedent, an opening for governments of capital in other countries to implement such anti-democratic measures.

That is why the struggle of Italian workers, convened by USB, is a struggle of workers from all over the world, especially from Europe, against social retrogression and the maintenance of union rights won by their struggles.
