The European Regional Office of WFTU expresses its class solidarity with USB Italy and the Italian working class in the their struggles in the defense of the right to strike.

We denounce the decision of the Italian government to ban the strike called by USB on the 12th of April and we demand full respect of trade union rights.

We fully support the mobilizations and actions called by USB in defense of the right to strike as well the strikes in Public Services and Transport.

The EU and governments are abolishing collective agreements and legislating for anti-worker measures and criminalizing the right to organize, trade union action and the right to strike.

In the current conditions the intensification of class struggles and expression of solidarity is the answer to their attacks.
